RRSR-PC Training of Trainers Registration Information

The RRSR-PC is a 2-day, face-to-face interactive training program, which provides Physicians, Nurses/ Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants the knowledge needed to integrate suicide risk assessments in routine office visits, to elicit risk where it exists, and work with patients to create treatment plans to reduce risk. Participants will be trained to administer the one-hour program.

Learning Objectives:

  • Why and how routine suicide risk screening should be incorporated into routine medical visits
  • What constitutes appropriate risk management strategies and crisis response planning
  • How to effectively document a suicide risk assessment in a medical chart

Applicant Registration Requirements:

  • Background in primary care service provision: Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse, Nurse Practitioners
  • Terminal degree in clinical field preferred; minimum of a least a Masters level degree in a mental health profession
  • Currently licensed to practice (provide evidence of current licensure)
  • Minimum of five years as a practicing clinician
  • January 31, 2017. Early registration is highly encouraged as space is limited.

Registration Fees & Deadline:

  • Training fees include all course materials, two days of face-to-face training continuing education credits and certificate
  • AAS members receive a registration fee discount.  AAS member: $150 AAS Non-Member $175
