Aussienet
The Australian Network for Promotion, Prevention and Early Intervention for Mental Health (Aussienet) is a national project funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Aged Care under the Mental Health Strategy and the National Suicide Prevention Strategy.


Dave Nee Foundation
The mission of the Dave Nee Foundation is to fight depression and prevent suicide by promoting and encouraging the diagnosis and treatment of depression among adolescents and young adults.  Their innovative and unique program, Uncommon Counsel, fights depression and works to prevent suicide among law students by educating law students about depression, its prevalence in the legal profession, and the availability and effectiveness of treatment.

Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance
The Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance is the nation's leading patient-directed organization focusing on the most prevalent mental illnesses - depression and bipolar disorder. The organization fosters an understanding about the impact and management of these like-threatening illnesses by providing up-to-date, scientifically-based tools and information written in language the general public can understand.

The Glendon Association
The Glendon Association is an organization whose mission is to save lives and enhance mental health by addressing the social problems of suicide, child abuse, violence, and troubled interpersonal relationships. They conduct research and share what we know through various workshops, publications, and educational documentaries.

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)
The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to improving the lives of persons living with serious mental illness and their families. Founded in 1979, NAMI has become the nation’s voice on mental illness, a national organization including NAMI organizations in every state and in over 1100 local communities across the country who join together to meet the NAMI mission through advocacy, research, support, and education. NAMI recently published a series of brochures called "After An Attempt" aimed at helping attempters, their families and physicians.

National Mental Health Association (NMHA)
The National Mental Health Association is the country's oldest and largest nonprofit organization addressing all aspects of mental health and mental illness. With more than 340 affiliates nationwide, NMHA works to improve the mental health of all Americans, especially the 54 million people with mental disorders, through advocacy, education, research and service.

SAMHSA's National Mental Health Information Center - Center for Mental Health Services
The Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS) is charged with leading the national system that delivers mental health services. The goal of this system is to provide the treatment and support services needed by adults with mental disorders and children with serious emotional problems. People with serious mental illnesses often need assistance with treatment, employment, housing, transportation, and other aspects of community participation. CMHS administers programs and funding for the delivery of these services. Mental illness can be treated effectively, and people can and do recover.

World Health Organization (WHO)
The World Health Organization is the United Nations specialized agency for health. It was established on 7 April 1948. WHO's objective, as set out in its Constitution, is the attainment by all peoples of the highest possible level of health. Health is defined in WHO's Constitution as a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.
