The American Association of Suicidology (AAS) is not an accredited provider of continuing education credits for psychiatric nurses. However, according to the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), nurses may receive credit for a course providing that at least 50% of the total continuing education credits must be from an ANCC-accredited approved provider (i.e. ACCME – Accreditation Council on Continuing Medical Education) and at least 51% of the total continuing education credits must be in your certification specialty.
